PROBLEM
Gender dysphoria is a listed diagnosis. It refers to the distress that might occur when one’s sex differs from one’s gender identity. Transgender individuals also suffer from discrimination, violence, abandonment and unadjusted ways of the world, from public toilets to law. Society has yet to let go of past definitions and adapt to new ones. But, even if we do adapt to new ones, as long as we list everything with definitions, limitations and conflicts will exist.
THE TYPEFACE
SIMPLY UNDEFINED celebrates the limitless complexity and range of gender identity, and raises the question - do we even have to define it?
The variety of letters is a playful, abstract and curious piece of communication, shaped in basic colors, from raw and basic shapes we all know - our genitals!
SIMPLY UNDEFINED isn't an oxymoron, it is an optimistic play on words which offers a simpler world, without definitions.

THE LETTERS
The genitals are the type's modules. Each letter is made by a different combination of the elements. Each letter is a new form, a new organ, a new identity. Red and blue were chosen as default. The user has the freedom to decide on any other 2 colors. They can even be the same color if wanted. The type's families include Regular, Thin and different versions of the Third Color Family. Third Color uses area analysis to calculate the average between the 2 colors in each letter, and fills it with the new color calculated. Once again, this conveys the spectrum of different and unique identities.
